Marine Turboprop is a turbo-propeller dynamically overcharged, a real turbo-propeller, which preserves all the profits of a Kaplan turbine, opportunely modified for the inversely functioning, and then the high efficiency at different propeller r.p.m.
Marine Turboprop is a monoblock, partially or totally built with the same materials
of hull construction and into this totally or partially inserted.
Unlike the Hydrojet it has not the long extension from the stern.
Rudder System
It is used a normal rudder, opportunely compensated and directly proporzionate to the outlet of Turboprop. It is placed in the tail with a fit distance.
The result is a surprising manoeuvring.
Reverse way
It is used the propeller reversal rotation.
Higher push
With Turboprop a speed till + 20% compared with subcavitating propeller.
On the contrary the same speed with much less horse power.
This powerfull push is given by the Kort nozzle overcharged.
Draught
It is reduced to the hull draught generally.
Use range
Till 45 knots about
Cost
The construction characteristics, the propulsion efficiency and the cost make Turboprop an advantageus propeller absolutely.
